Become a Volunteer

Missions Ministry relies on sponsorship and volunteers in order to provide children in the African villages of Mozambique with a better quality of life, with access to education, health, sports, and, in the future, the workforce.  That is why we count on the support, financial and professional assistance of qualified and willing people to help donate their time and efforts.

If you are a healthcare professional (doctor, nurse, dentist, pharmacist, etc.), a teacher, a business owner, a construction professional (carpenters, painters, electricians, plumbers, etc.) or just someone that wants to offer your support and assistance and feel in your heart the desire to participate in our projects and would like to join us on a mission, your help will always be welcome. We are open to suggestions and donations of personal hygiene products, children’s medicines, school supplies, children’s clothing and shoes, educational toys (new).

Your help will be of great importance to these children. We know that if we want, we will find available time to help others, we just need to have this wish inside of us. Volunteering is not just a word, it is love, dedication and action.

Missions Ministry has some prerequisites for non-professional volunteers to travel with us:

  • Be a sponsor in the project for at least six months

  • Previous volunteer work experience

  • Availability and willingness to work

  • Willing to give up your needs in favor of the needs of others

  • Ability to work in a team

  • Be prepared physically and emotionally for the difficulties to be encountered and be willing to adapt to the conditions of extreme poverty

  • You must be able to respect the authorities and follow the leader of the group

  • Be willing to travel with your personal items only in carry-on luggage (10kg)

  • Must be vaccinated against Yellow Fever and carry proof of vaccination

  • Must obtain Mozambican visa

  • All travel expenses (tickets, lodging, meals) are your responsibility

  • Payment of a fee to Missions Ministry for ground transportation in Mozambique and to purchase your foundation uniform (all volunteers need to be uniformed daily for better identification and security control)

To be a volunteer is more than imagined, it is to dedicate to helping without expecting anything in return.
