Why Sponsor a Child?
This gesture of love and humanism not only helps families, it pleases the Heart of God!
All the humanitarian aid that Missions Ministry brings to thousands of people is only possible thanks to a great chain of love and solidarity that has been forming. God has touched people to be sponsors and donate monthly to help transform lives. These monthly sponsorships are the heart of our projects, because they help us maintain our mission. These are also supplemented with individual donations and charitable events by volunteers who also embrace the Missions Ministry’s cause in the USA as well as in Brazil, Canada, Europe and hopefully many other places around the world.
In villages in Mozambique people can go up to three days without any meals, they walk miles to get a few gallons of water that is not safe to drink (which they still use to drink). There are regions where it has not rained regularly for several years. It is estimated that one million people in Mozambican villages suffer from hunger and use dirty drinking water.
Most of the orphans are children of parents killed by HIV and malaria. Most work in exchange for a plate of food and do not have access to school. They live well below the poverty line. That is why Missions Ministry created the sponsorship program with the aim of changing that reality and offering a little more dignity to these children who are suffering and deprived of everything.
